This is the only bad thing about being opposite of most of the working population-All the fun things happen on the weekend. The only time I work is on the weekend. Thus u see my dilemma. Today is my niece's 2nd birthday party, and I hate that I will be missing it. They have a Minnie Mouse/Mickey Mouse theme all picked out. My triplets absolutely love Mickey! Their eyes light up when the cartoon comes on or when anyone starts singing the theme song. I have tried getting them interested in Disney movies that I loved as a child, but so far I have been wasting my time. I get a few curious looks then disinterest. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is where its at!!!
So I'm contemplating buying three beautifully expensive Mickey Mouse upholstered toddler chairs. I have one toy that is a chair in the playroom that I have caught all the kids sitting on. Otherwise they have no choice but to sit on the floor. It will be a huge splurge, but they would have it for years. What does everyone think?

lysol everything STAT
Believe it or not, I had to take another child of mine to the ER! I still haven't completely gotten over Adalynn having her seizure and going to the ER, but Wednesday midnight I was on my way with Landon. Not wanting his sister to have all the fun, he had been running a fever for a few days prior, having general fussiness and lack of sleep due to congestion, runny nose, but late Wednesday night I couldn't get the fever to go down. At almost 103 Landon started shaking (not having a seizure) and crying, and when his lips turned blue I was out of the house in five minutes! Needless to say i didn't return home until almost 4 am. Landon was finally asleep and his fever was under control. Diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and cutting a back molar, my baby is not a happy camper. First thing Thursday morning, I went over everything in their playroom with disinfecting Lysol spray. I changed their sheets and sprayed everything in their room, and the guest room as well. I guess I am going to have to make it a more regular chore of spraying Lysol since i will never be able to keep them from drinking after one another and sharing toys etc.
On a good note I finally finished decorating the playroom, so i promise the next post will be fun pics and not sickness stories! ;)

the sickness continues
After a week of still running almost a continuous fever, I took Adalynn back to the doctor on Friday. Her throat is still really red but negative for strep. She does however have blood in her urine. Antibiotics finally given, so I hope she feels better soon. Both boys still taking their meds. I have to have a list to keep them all organized. Addy has four different ones at multiple times a day. Geez!
To top it off my husband had major surgery on Friday. Seven incisions into his foot and ankle and over a 5 hour surgery later, he is medicated and doing well. Released from the hospital Saturday evening and propped up in bed where he will probably remain for about the next six weeks!!! Lets just say I'm practically gonna be a single parent to FOUR children for awhile. I guess my husband is going to get a little taste of what it is like to be a bedridden pregnant with multiples woman. Maybe I should complain about having to wait on him like he did when I was laid up for two months. And only once did he ever get up and leave the house at night to satisfy a craving. So he gets one pass only! lol Hope he recovers quickly.

add it to the firsts
So recently i had a post about first memories of the triplets. A who did it first of baby milestones. Unfortunately i have to add something to the list that i hope no other parents ever experiences:
First baby that needed 911- Addy
first baby taken to ER by ambulance- Addy
first baby to have a seizure- Addy
first baby to scare her mother to death- Addy
While i was at work Sunday, my mother was watching the triplets and my husband was in Florida visiting a friend. She calls me to tell that Addy had a seizure, that she called 911, that the ambulance and fire department were at our house, and that she was being taken to the ER. The horrible thing was how my work is currently short staffed and two managers said i wasn't allowedd to leave until coverage was in place. After over 20-30 minutes of waiting and contemplating quiting, i finally called the director and she immediately said to leave. Thank god someone cares! I sped to the ER and found Addy being held by a stranger screaming! My poor baby. She was diagnosed with febrile seizures, a viral infection, and yeast infection. We have to watch her closely over the next few days to monitor her temperature and keep it down.
We are still treating Marek for his double ear infection, and we took Landon in to the pediatrician just in case and he has thrush, which is a yeast infection of the mouth. yea me!

Urgent Care
My evening was spent rushing out of work early, leaving unfinished tasks for fellow employees (which I hate to do) in order to speed home, grab my son Marek, and speed over to Care Now before they close at 8 pm.
Since its Saturday my options are this or the ER. Now the problem is I get off work at 7 pm, and I live about 30 miles from work and then another 5 miles from the clinic, but the kicker is I have to pass through two long areas of road construction and a bottle neck highway! OMG Driving uncharacteristically crazy, we made it their by 7:30! Marek has a double ear infection and fever. I was worried since he hasn't been eating well for the past three weeks and has had some bowel issues, but his tummy was soft and the Dr said I just need to give him more water.
Then off to the 24 hr pharmacy, then the local fast food chain so i could get a sandwich and kill time for the antibiotics to be ready, then off to Kroger to restock our milk supply, then back to pharmacy to pick up prescription, then home! Made it home before 9:30pm.
When I left for work this morning, Marek was snoring pretty strongly, so hopefully he got plenty of well deserved rest.
In other news, I finally finished the artwork for the kiddos play room. Four small paintings to add some life to a boring brown wall. They are very elementary in their actual design, but that's really the extent of my art prowess. So a dog, pig, frog, and lion surrounded by multicolored polka dots adorn the wall along with my map colored fish and some art I did while pregnant that never made it into their bedroom. I will post pics soon.
My husband is in Florida for the weekend, so it is just my mother and I, with her watching the kiddos while I'm at work. I really look forward to Sunday evening since that is when my girlfriends and I meet for dinner, gossip, and True Blood. I know, don't hate, but I love that show!! Usually this is my only away from the house adult time for the week, and it only lasts a few hours. However; since Aaron is gone, I feel super guilty about wanting to go and leave my mom watching the triplets ALL day, so I'm going to make a sacrifice. Someone better have DVR that show so that i can watch it later in the week, or there is going to be one annoyed momma!
