here comes santa claus

I can honestly say that this was the best Christmas in about a decade. The joy that i felt watching the kids open and play with their gifts, and sharing that moment with my parents was priceless. I think anyone with young children probably feel the same.  The past two Christmases the triplets were too young to understand what was going on. This year they knew who Santa was, and that they had presents, but  they didn't know who put the gifts there or where they came from. They absolutely loved all the gifts and scampered from toy to toy trying to play with them all. I really tried to find the perfect gifts for everyones' personalty when i shopped this year, but no surprise everyone plays equally with everyone elses' presents. Mareks big gift from Santa was a piano, Landon a rocking horse, and Addy a chalkboard easel. They also got clothes, airplanes, coloring sets, cars, learning tablets, a doll,  mickey mouse stuffed animals, and tons more.

It started getting cold finally a few days before Christmas, so we played in the backyard one last time.

Who ya calling sweetheart?

Marek is ready for some football.

Landon playing with his new airplane.

Christmas eve was spent with my dads side of the family. I actually haven't spent a Christmas with them in about 6 years. I have been working at a hospital and usually have to work during the holidays. The kids were dressed in their holiday finest.

I love love love Addys dress and recycled her Dorothy shoes from Halloween.

Landon's silly smile.

Can u say that we are an iPhone family? Lets play shapes!

Memaw, Mommy, and Marek

Sweet baby Marek needing some quality Memaw time. New places and new faces bother him a little. Sometimes he doesn't feel like eating or he hides. He stayed pretty close to Daddy all night.

Our tree after Santa's visit. No ornaments this year. That was one headache with the kids playing with them that i did not want to take on. Killed me though, since i have such a beautiful tree when its all done up. Hopefully next year.

No pictures momma please.

Just thought this was a funny picture of Adalynn.

Instead of the tradition Christmas feast, we opted for Chicken and Dumplings for Christmas lunch. Very Yummy.

Time to play with Pepaw. He loves playing with his babies.

Mommy and Landon. Even Mommy is jealous of Landon's amazing lashes.

Amazingly, it started snowing Christmas day around lunch time. This was just an early pic of the progress. Quite a bit of snow and ice came that day. Luckily, we were all snug and toasty inside.

Never can get a good group pic.

First ever trip to six flags

The triplets finally had their first-ever trip to Six Flags over Texas. It was holiday in the park season and there were lights everywhere, so of course mommy was happy as well as the babies. They were able to ride their first ever rides, and they absolutely loved it. It was definitely nice to see how much they liked riding the rides since mommy and daddy love going to theme parks. Addy even cried every time she was taken off the ride. After a few hours the kids are getting pretty tired and since dinner consisted of only marshmallows, popcorn, and chips we finally decided to head to the house. Overall it was a great experience; I loved taking them and I can't wait to go again next year.

My birthday

The babies took me out for breakfast for my birthday yesterday. No need to mention what age I turned, but I truly had a great day! ;) All three were so well behaved at ihop, the service was fast and I really enjoyed myself. Especially since it was my first time to take them to a restaurant by myself with no helpers. After brunch we headed to the park. It was crazy windy, but we still had a good time running around until nap time. That evening I had my nails done and then met my girls for dinner followed by karaoke and dancing. Great birthday to me!

Cast

Adalynn's sweet little purple cast. She has to wear it for three weeks and then we will do another x ray in hopes that no surgery is needed. If surgery is required it will be that poor girls 3rd and she isn't even three years old. She did really well getting it on and the staff at cooks rehab clinic were amazing with keeping all the babies entertained with toys and Elmo DVDs.

Our first broken bone

I definitely thought a boy would win the title of first broken bone, and I definitely thought it would be a long time from two and a half years old. Addy has broken her left middle finger. (insert joke here). Friday a heavy picture frame fell off the tv and bumped her head. She had a nice goose egg for while so it was much later before I noticed her finger. Then I thought she only jammed it since I could wiggle her fingers. Hello I work in radiology I should have caught this one. Apparently the break is very close to the joint so she will have to see the orthopedic doctor tomorrow. She's a tough cookie since she went two days before we finally took her for X-rays. She doesn't seem to be slowing down any so, I'm sure she will be fine. What was funny was when Landon saw all the attention adalynn's finger was getting that he needed a bandaid too! Silly boy!
