birthday parties are fun

The babies went to their friends 6th birthday party at the local park today. It was a beautiful day, and all the kids seemed to have fun. Emma had a cowgirl themed party.

March of Dimes

Its time once again for the annual March of Dimes fundraiser. Money raised benefits premature infants and their families. My triplets were born 13 wks premature at only 27 weeks gestation. All three were 2.8 lbs or less. They spent 60-66 days in the NICU of Cook Childrens Hospital. I am very thankful that I now have three healthy 22 month olds. Unfortunately, not all premature infants and their families are as lucky. Please help support you local March of Dimes Team for their annual walk. I will be walking along with my babies April 21, 2012 at the Fort Worth location. To donate:

first Zoo trip

This past week the G babies had their first ever trip to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, the babies behaved, and it wasn't crowded at all. I was worried since we went during their normal nap time, but they behaved like champs! It was overall a great day, and the triplets loved being outside. Parking was only five dollars; admission twelve; but the gift shop saw us coming. Three t-shirts, one ball, and fifty dollars later ended to fun trip.

Another bites the pink eye dust

My final baby decided one for all and all for pinkeye! Marek finally woke up with nasty eye goo like his siblings. It was inevitable I guess. So now I have three beautiful babies with pinkeye. Now who wants to visit!?
The speech therapist and nurse are coming tomorrow so hopefully it won't be contagious by then. I already had to cancel one of adalynn's appointments because of it.

House of pink eye

Well pink eye has finally graced the Grezeszak house! Landon woke up from is nap yesterday with goo dripping from his eye. It's swollen and red and he looks like he came out on the losing end of a prize fight. The Pediatrition gave him drops and sent us home hoping not to infect the rest of the household. Obviously we are a family the shares, so Adalynn woke this morning with the same ugly right eye and Landon decided his left eye was jealous so he shared his nasty germs with it. I cross my fingers that marek stays unaffected, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyone want to come over and visit?

Happy Friday

Today I decided to do some spring cleaning. I have huge bags and boxes ready for Goodwill, as well as a few good clothes to sell to kid to kid. I don't believe my closet ever looked this sparse. I bet I probably threw out about 15 pairs of shoes too. The babies were very helpful picking up hangers for me and walking back and forth over my clothing pile! lol. But at least I have gotten rid of the excess in my closet as well as theirs.

My babies are fruit loop connoisseurs. They also love to sit on mommy's bed, watch cartoons, and have their morning cereal. Of course most mornings their breakfast is too messy to eat on mommy's bed.

Glad that Memaw is going to be here for visit this weekend. Feels like since she went back to work that we never see her anymore. I know the babies are going to be super excited. I have finally pulled clothes for each to leave out at her house. It is such an ordeal to pack for three babies that I am just going to send a couple boxes back with her. We already keep three play pens out there, might as well keep clothes there too. My plan is to just pack socks and shoes for when we visit. There is already plenty of toys there too.

Gym Snot

I have finally mustered the strength to take the triplets with me when i started back to the gym this past week.
It was the first time i tried to use the new leashes i bought to keep them from running into the street. I thought that they would follow me like little ducks to the door. Haha! I must have been fooling myself into thinking that my children would do exactly what i wanted them to do. They each went in different directions and then kept falling down on the concrete. Adalynn bumped the back of her head, and Landon got away from me and a stranger had to help carry him into the gym. It was absolute pandemonium. Plus the people laughing at me from inside the gym didn't help. I was trying to avoid using my cumbersome triplet stroller to no avail. Second trip i used the stroller and parked it inside the playroom. Cardio three times this week definitely makes me feel better, but i cant bring myself to leave the babies inside the play room for longer than an hour. It makes me feel guilty when there is only one helper and about a million kids running around screaming. This last time i took them, the lady complained that my babies were fussing the whole time. Of course as i am patting myself on the back for my great three workout accomplishments, all three babies start dripping snot come Friday. It was inevitable i guess. New place. New germs. New snot.

I still cant seem to get either of the boys to talk. They jabber some in baby language, but neither boy says actual words. Adalynn at least says a few words and tries to mimic others. The speech therapist can't start fast enough for me.

My husband brought home a handful of Mardi Gras beads the other day, and they have become a huge hit in our house. It is just the cutest thing seeing to them wearing necklaces, especially Addy. I have even started letting her wear them to play dates and doctors appointments. She is going to be my girly-girl with great accessories one day. I just ordered her first custom made bracelet the other day. It's a beaded bubble guppies bracelet from a lady on Etsy. Its really for her birthday outfit, but still i bet she is going to love it.
