Christmas recap

Since I never get off on holidays-you out there who work at a hospital know- i was working this past Christmas weekend. It really wasn't too bad. Since i have worked the last two Christmas holidays, i hope next year i wont have to. By that time, the triplets should be old enough to understand the concept of opening gifts from Santa, etc. As it turns out, I am also working this weekend for the New Years holiday-imagine that! ha ha
Aaron packed up the kiddos and heading to my parents for a fun-filled week of hunting, eating, playing cards, and all around merriment with my parents and a large group of our friends. Oh no don't feel sorry for me, I am kid and husband-free for the week! I am finally getting a vacation with one of my girlfriends! We are headed down to San Antonio for a few relaxing and pampering days. As you can imagine i have been looking forward to this FOREVER!!!

Getting our photo with Santa this year was an ordeal to say the least. We made plans on four separate occasions to take them, but had to cancel due to bad weather twice, all the kiddos getting strep once, and then the fourth time due to there being a 2 & 1/2 hour wait. Hello I can't entertain my babies that long in a stroller. Last year my husband surprised me by taking them all to Bass Pro Shop to get their pics with Santa. They turned out great and Santa was the best- with the BEST smile!

We really wanted this Santa again. Like seriously, it was all my husband talked about. Well when it came down to the wire, I said forget it. I'm not driving the 30 miles to Bass Pro and fighting the road construction in Grapevine to wait for this Santa. So I toted the kiddos to North East Mall on Wednesday and waited 10-15 minutes for this:

So Landon is falling off Santa. Ha Ha. But my only other option was selecting a photo with Adalynn picking her nose. She was apparently doing this in 4 of the 6 photos that they took and looking away on one too. I didn't want to be in the photo so i just tossed Marek behind Santa. He He. Oh and yes I'm too lazy to run the photo through the scanner. Taking a photo with your cell is much easier; and yes I stress bite my nails! You can imagine how stressful my life gets. Merry Christmas!

The day before the boys turned 19 months, Aaron and I took them for their first haircut. I am very happy with the results since of course i think their haircut was long overdue. Their father was sad to see the mullets go. lol Landon was so well behaved, while Marek was more fussy. We had to distract him with a Mickey Mouse game on Aaron's phone.

RAINY DAY

Well my babies are getting better. They are still taking antibiotics twice a day and Addy has had another fever, but no seizure. Now I'm battling runny noses and coughing. So of course i have the sniffles myself. Darn petri dishes!

Landon is a really goofy boy. Found him like this, don't ask me how he did it. Regardless i pull him out and not 2 minuets later i found him like this:

i spoke too soon

I guess i spoke too soon when i mentioned that everyone was doing well. By 10:15 pm Wednesday night i was on my way in an ambulance with Adalynn to Cooks for yet another seizure in less than 6 months. Poor girl. After finally witnessing one, I can see why they are so scary to watch. She seized for about 3 minuets, but we called 911 when her lips turned blue. She was released about an hour after going to the ER with the news to expect more seizures over the next few years. By the next day, both boys started running fever as well, and after another trip to the pediatrician the diagnosis is strep! My kids definitely don't do anything half ass! All or nothing! Honestly given the choice i would much rather everyone be sick at once and get it over with instead of drawing the sickness out for weeks. Plus everyone should then hopefully be healthy before its time for our family Christmas party.

Again I apologize for not posting in so long. I could give a barrage of excuses, but honestly i just didn't feel like doing it along with the fact i was having issues with uploading photos onto my computer. So lets recap.
Took the kiddos to get their Christmas pics done. OMG What a beating! At least i had a coupon because they were horrible. They kept crawling everywhere, wouldn't stay in one place, wouldn't look at the camera, wouldn't smile. I got one amazing photo of Landon and that was about it. Basically just picked the photo where they were all looking the same direction and didn't have a pissed off face.
On a more upbeat note, I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping. I need something else for a family party and my BFF and then I'll be completely finished. Black Friday shopping really got a great jump off for me this year.
The triplets just had their 18 month checkup and everyone is doing really well. The boys weigh 23 lbs and some change and Addy is 20 lbs 15 oz. Thank God they don't have to go back until 24 months. Did i mention that they were horrible at the doctors office as well. imagine that.
We finally bought the triplets their Mickey Mouse Chairs for Christmas, and we decided to just go ahead and give them to them early. They absolutely love them. Good job Mom! Here are a few photos of us hanging around the house.
