Memorial weekend madness

This has been one of the funnest, relaxing weekends i have had for a long time. For the holiday weekend, my husband went to my parent's house to hang with the guys, and i chose to have a girl's weekend at my aunt's house with my mom, my aunt's sister, and the triplets. Since my aunt has a beautiful new pool, i had to buy a bathing suit. uhhggggg. i know!. I have lost 30 pounds since Christmas, but i am still no where near real bathing suit body ready. I still have 30 more pounds to go to be back to where i was. But i have also accepted my fate of the"mom suit". I will never wear another bikini again.

Looking back now i didn't realize how good i had it. Now i'ts stretch marks and saggy skin. Thanks children! Also gone are the $20 suits.  My mother and i went to Dillards and i purchased a "mom" one piece bathing suit, and i kid you not i dropped $150! My wallet couldn't believe it. But after trying several on; and my body is now a hard fit; that when i found one that worked i was willing to pay just about anything. 

Sunday morning we loaded up and little people, and all our gear and headed to Carrollton. First thing we did after unloading was change into our suits and start lunch. 

Beers in hand to enjoy the beautiful weather. 

Once the kids went down for naps, the real fun began. After naps back swimming!

Addy could swim all day. By day two she was furiously kicking her feet when she realized she could move herself in the float.

We spent the weekend swimming, sunbathing, eating, drinking, gossiping, and totally enjoying our splendid blessings and great weather. I consider myself a very lucky woman.

Guess Who's 2!!!

My little babies have finally turned two. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around that statement. Their birth is still so vivid in my mind and seems just like a few months ago. So in true triplet fashion, we had a huge birthday bash to celebrate. Bubble Guppies was the theme of the day, and all the kids had a blast. Since it is always hot in May here, we also incorporated two small pools so that all the kids could play.

We had chicken salad sandwiches and make your own sandwiches, as well as veggies, fruit, cookies, marshmellow pops, pasta, chips, and dip. And of course who can forget the awesome cake.

It was a great day. We had so many friends and family that shared this awesome milestone with us, and we are truly thankful. The kids loaded up on toys, puzzles, shoes, clothes, bath stuffs, sunscreen, books, toothbrushes, trucks, pillow pets, a slide, an outdoor water table, toddler beds, and gift cards. Thank you so much!!

Mothers day

Mother's Day was a wonderful day for me. I made Aaron get up when the baby monitor went off, so that i could sleep in. My parents were in visiting, so my mother and i did a little shopping while the babies went down for a nap. That afternoon we grilled steak fajitas, and when my parents left i had the longest nap of my life. It was amazing! Did i mention that my husband bought me an extremely expensive camera that i have been wanting forever! So i proceeded to take pictures of what i know best-my babies!

Sorry that i haven't written in so long. To catch everyone up, Adalynn had another seizure. We battled her fever for almost a week and the doctors never found the source of the infection, so it was labeled viral. She has an EEG appointment scheduled that will monitor her brain waves while she is not having a seizure, so that we have a baseline if the seizures ever happen while she is not having a fever.

The babies are still seeing a physical therapist, but that seems to be about over. The therapist is about to reevaluate them since they are finally passing most of the physical milestones. Its sad since she has worked with them since they were about 8 months old. The babies absolutely love it when the speech therapist comes. I wish she came more than just twice a month. Adalynn has been talking so much more. She can say her colors now and some other new words that are just so cute. Of course the boys are way behind, but i guess that just gives kudos to the female gender! lol 

Their second birthday is just a few days away. I'm getting really excited. The bubble guppies theme is really coming together. They lady who made their cake last year did such a great job, but she stopped returning my emails and wouldn't respond to me phone calls, so three weeks before the party i had to scramble to find someone else. I went with Sugar and Frosting bakery in Keller. I sampled a few of their cupcakes and they were to die for. They make the kind of frosting that you have to have a glass a milk with. I cross my finger that the cake looks great.
