RECAP OF THE WEEK

Well disappointingly no 9 month check up this past monday. The pediatrition has the flu so we were bumped to next week. So this means im gonna have to take all the babies to the doctor by myself with no help. yea!!! (sarcasm)
On tuesday the physical therapist came and did some great stretches and really worked with Landon and Adalynn. Adalynn was sick so she wasnt really in the mood to cooperate. She was running a slight fever and had some vomiting, but that has thankfully gone away now. Marek has been having diarrhea, vomiting, and loss of appetite; but he too is feeling better with only the diarrhea remainging. My husband also had this "crap" thing for a few days too. lol
Of course you saw that Landon got his helmet on Wednesday. He had taken to it much better than i expected. He doesnt seem bothered at all by it. And i must say, he looks pretty cute in it. I was however alittle disappointed in the design. I thought the skull and crossbones were going to be smaller in size. Anyways......
Memaw came in wednesday and has been helping with the kiddos. We really have just been cleaning alittle and lounging mostly. I did finally go through the closet and drawers and boxed up all the 3-6 month clothes. Now we are restocked with 6 and 6-9 month clothes-- and there is thankfully no shortage there.
I myself really enjoyed this week. I was able to go out with friends 3 times this week! That never happens. I am usually lucky to get out once in 3 weeks, so thank you Mom! Going out every now and then keeps me sane and i feel more loving towards the babies. So moms GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

BORING

this week has been pretty boring. No doctors appointments, no visitors, basically the highlight of the week was a trip to the grocery store. The only real note worthy tidbit is that Marek is starting to roll very consistantly. I can lay him on the floor and he will roll back and forth, turn himself, and play with toys. So with him we really need to practice sitting up. Landon is still very upset with tummy time that he will scream instead of trying to make himself happy by rolling over; however he is the best at trying to sit. Adalynn does ok with tummy time and she can turn herself in different directions and somewhat scoot herself, but she doesnt roll consistantly and she isnt that great at trying to sit up.
Monday the triplets will be 9 months old and have their 9 month pediatric check-up. Other that a slight diaper rash and skin rash on Adalynn's arms, they have been really relatively healthy this week. Very fussy-but healthy!

WEEK RECAP

I havent gotten around to mentioning everything that has happened this week so lets recap. At the beginning of the week, I took Adalynn to the Ears, Nose, and Throat specialist who works with the audiologist to check her hearing again. She failed again in one ear. This makes her 4th time to fail in an ear, but the Doctor is still seeing fluid in both her ears. Since its a drainage problem, he wants to wait just a few months longer in hopes that it will resolve on its own. We are going to check again at that point and if there is still fluid and she fails her hearing test again then she will have tubes placed in her ears.
A day later at the pulmonologist, all three babies were evaluated to check their O2 levels and their lungs and to recieve their routine shots. Everyones oxygen saturation were great and their lungs sounded good as well. They all had a recent bout of RSV, but the doctor was pleased at how they weathered the sickness. He knew they were high risk and high probability of getting RSV due to their prematurity, so the shots that they have been getting definitely helped in keeping it to a mild case. The RSV never made it down into the kiddos lungs.
The triplets also recieved another home visit from the physical therapist and nurse. They usually recieve two nurse visits and one physical therapist visit a month to evaluate Landon and Adalynn. They are now going to switch this to 3 physical therapy visits a month since the two dont seem to be progressing in their milestones as quickly as the therapist would like. In addition we noticed recently that Landon favors turning his head to one side and doesnt seem to have full range of motion turning his head to the left. We are going to start stretching his neck to help with this. Basically the triplets are 8 and a half months old but they still dont roll over consistantly, they cannot sit up on their own, they dont like tummy time...etc...geez. I cant wait until they can all sit up on their own.
