UPDATE PLEASE

I am happy to say that Adalynn has been recovering wonderfully. She only has a few restrictions such as sponge baths and no heavy physical playing for the next month. I can tell that she is so happy to be back home with her brothers. Actually she may be happy to just to be back with all her toys, but nevertheless she has been constant smiles. I don't think the boys even noticed that she was gone. We have rearranged our house and set up a playroom in what used to be our study, so the boys have been focused on that.

DAY 2 IN THE HOSPITAL

Addy is doing well again today. She has been eating well, peed on the nurse while she was taking a rectal temperature..hehe., and has been watching her Micky DVD and playing with her toys. She finally pooped, but it looked like a handfull of raisins. Its most likely from her meds. She is finally taking a nap after giving me some grief. She is now getting bored with laying flat. Been there done that mommy! I want to get up! well no no Adalynn not until tomorrow. I finally had to resort to restraining her with her blanket. She was mad, but more so she was sleepy. Hopefully when she wakes next i can feed her and keep her entertained enough until tomorrow. We definitely do not want any complications due to not laying flat. Thanks for all the well wishes!

ADDYS UPDATE

Adalynn has been doing wonderful! I cant believe what a trooper she is. She hasnt even been crying-just a little fussing to tell me she is hungry. After her carrots, bananas, and bottle she is back to watching micky mouse clubhouse. Thank you person who invented the portable DVD player. She is currently on antibiotics and pain meds and no diet restrictions. Her incision looks really good too. Just some reddness around the site. She is due for her next round of pain meds soon, and im hoping that she gets a good nights rest

ADALYNN'S SURGERY

Today Addy had her surgery to release her tethered cord. We arrived at the hosptial at 6;30 am and she was in surgery by 7:30 am. Everything went excellent! She was in recovery by 10am, and we were up in her room by 11:30 am. She has already had a bottle of juice imediately after surgery and just recently 4 oz. of milk. She seems to be doing so well and is currently calm and watching Micky Mouse Clubhouse.  We are very proud of her. I have already been to the gift shop once and splurged on a new pink weiner dog stuffed animal. Also Cooks now has a build a bear station where her Daddy had to make her first pink build a bear. She is one spoiled princess! Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. Next we are hoping for a speedy recovery. Addy will be in the hospital for two days at the least, so we are shooting to come home thursday. She must lay flat for the two days that she is here to limit the chance of spinal cord leakage. That is going to be a lot of around the clock Micky Mouse!

YOU LIKE ME; YOU REALLY LIKE ME

Ok so its probably not me you like, so much as my crazy adorable chitin's; but as of today, the triplets blog has received over 1000 hits. I think that's pretty cool, and i consider blogging as sort of like therapy for me in a way. Plus im a crafty person, so i like that aspect as well. And i have no social life to speak of, and dont get out of the house often, and rarely see my friends, and...........wow thats depressing...lol. anywho i really enjoy blogging. And i enjoy reading other blogs too. So if you have a neat one i should check out let me know.

I get picture texts from my mom when she is watching the kids and i am working and she sent me a video today of Marek banging Landons helmet over and over like a set of bongos. Funny thing is that Landon was still wearing the helmet at the time. And he didnt even seem to mind. wierd.

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

Since the babies are mostly sleeping through the night, our lives are starting to resemble some sense of normalcy. sort of. most days. sometimes. occasionally. etc.. The triplets are 10 months old. Crazy i know. I am already planning the one year birthday extravaganza. well when i have free time, which is rare. Our days are pretty scheduled. Breakfast around 7 am. play. Brunch at 10 am. play. nap. lunch at 1 pm. play. bottle at 4 pm. nap. play. dinner at 7 pm. In a perfect world this would be exact everyday, and my life would be easy peasy; plus i would have a nanny, maid, personal trainer, personal assistant-you get the idea. But alas we are normal middle Americans who have to do everything ourselves and our kids are normal fussy, needy, beautiful infants. Two weeks without any help is starting to make me crazy, so i joyously welcomed the return of Memaw to help us out over the next week. Both Aaron and i have to work this weekend and she will be helping when Adalynn has her surgery on Tuesday. For those of u new to the blog, she is having spinal cord surgery to release a tethered cord. Should take about 3 hours, and any and all prayers for a safe and speedy recovery are welcome. Memaw will be on boy only duty, which when you switch from three to two babies-omg it is so much easier. And when you happen to have the opportunity to just be watching one. SOOOO easy. lol. Physically the triplets are doing well. All three can sit up, roll over, shake...wait a second thats the dog...anyways they can do that minus the shake part. They have started eating mum mum cookies, using their two new teeth. And now you have to watch them like a hawk on the changing table. You turn away for a second and they are rolling over. Stinkers.
