addy goes potty

It's been about a week since i posted last. The triplets are doing really well. We went out to my mother's house for the weekend since my husband and dad are on vacation together. Yes you read that right. I think i was duped! Ha ha. After our laid back weekend in the country, i came home to a clean house courtesy of my brother. I need to go out of town more often.
I have gotten into a routine of taking the kids to the gym with me the last few months. It started out first with me lugging the triplet stroller inside, but the owner nicely hinted that it took up too much room in the play area. Imagine that! Then i advanced to the twin stroller with Landon walking/holding my hand. Landon is so good at following me and following directions. He is definitely the best at listening to me, even though he is usually the one getting into trouble by me. But as of yesterday, i finally walked all the babies into the gym. Addy and Marek hold my hand while Landon follows. This may sound like a non-issue for most parents, but when you have three babies of the same age, you face some unique challenges. So yes, it is monumental that the last two days i have walked all three of my toddlers into the gym together. When we leave the house, they all walk to the van and climb inside by themselves sometimes as well. It's so cool that they are getting smarter and more helpful.
Going to the gym is the highlight of their day i think. They get to play with a bunch of different kids of all different ages. Since its been over 100 degrees here, they haven't been able to play outside. Even in the early morning its still scorching. So the gym play area is our daily destination.

I have noticed the past few weeks that sometimes in the morning Adalynn wakes up with a dry diaper. For giggles this morning, i decided to put her on the potty to see what would happen. Miraculously, she peed! i celebrated like she had won the lottery. I honestly was so surprised. I tried catching her again later, but didn't  get another positive result until after nap time. Twice in one day-on her first day ever! I am one proud  momma. I dug up some panties for her to try, and she is currently wearing them. Of course i am so anxious for my furniture, rugs, and their toys. Too bad you can't just drop your children somewhere and pick them up a few days later like you can when you potty train dogs! Ha

2 year check-up

Can you believe the triplets just had their two year check-up? Well the stats are as follows:

Adalynn 22 lbs. 8 oz 34 inches tall
Landon 24 lbs. 9 oz. 33 3/4 inches tall
Marek 24 lbs. 7 oz. 34 1/4 inches tall

The doctor was conerned about both Marek and Addys weight. Or i should say lack of weight gain. So i need to pump up the fat content for them for awhile. Landon also had another ear infection, so we got antibiotics for that. Otherwise everyone is healthy, but i did voice my concern over Marek's lack of speech. He still says only Momma and Dada. With Adalynn saying 40-50 words this really worries me. Since a speech therapist already visits the house twice a month, the doctor thinks that Marek might benefit from some personal one on one time. Hopefully i will be getting a call addressing that soon.

weekend wrap-up

We had a busy and fun weekend, starting with finally opening our water table that the triplets received for their birthday Saturday morning. They absolutely loved it! I could barely keep them from climbing in it.

Saturday afternoon my BFF, triplets, and i went and ate Mexican food, followed by shopping.  Sunday morning Daddy got the pool out again for the babies since it was already nice and hot. Of course daddy couldn't be bothered with bathing suits-too time consuming and just went with the little swimmers look. 

That afternoon we invited our best friends and their kiddos over for pizza, beer, and backyard fun. This included swimming, water guns, and the babies being pulled in their wagon by willing bigger kids. Trinity was a rock star pulling those heavy babies. I gave up long before she did.

All around great weekend. Another reminder as to why i love having weekends off!

breakfast with elmo

Breakfast brought us a special guest today. Elmo decided to join the triplets in their waffles and fruit this morning. He was much better behaved then they were since he didn't throw his unwanted food on the floor, nor did he turn over his plate. I think i prefer eating with Elmo instead of my babies.
