Addy at the eye doctor

Good news on Adalynn's visit to the eye doctor. She doesn't need corrective lenses yet, but the doctor wants to follow-up in a year. He keeps checking her optic nerves and says she has what's called cupping. It's an atypical placement of the nerves I believe and since it hasn't changed at all from when she was only a few months old the doctor thinks it might not be a problem. He did say she was slightly far sighted but that it was
okay.
The speech therapist came by today and started the paperwork on the triplets. They are extremely delayed on their verbal communication. We are talking like communicating at about the same level as a 8-11 month old. Geez babies let's get to talking already. Here's something I'm ready to communicate, "Stop throwing your sippy cups on the floor after taking a drink!"

snot is ruining my life

Landon came down with a double ear infection. Really!? I think our household is in a constant state of sickness. Adalynn just had a nasty ear infection a few weeks ago. I asked the pediatrician, "Why do my children keep getting sick. I never take them anywhere?" Her reply; "All it takes is a little snot."
Snot is ruining my life.
I have snot-nosed kids.
Snot pours from Adalynn all the time.
I'm drowning in snot.
At this rate my kids should be immune to every possible sickness by the time they actually start school, or build up a immunity to antibiotics. Whichever comes first.

On Monday I'm taking Addy to the eye doctor. At the triplets last visit to the eye doctor, he wanted to have another look at Adalynns blood vessels to evaluate their size. I wouldn't be surprised if one of my children eventually wears glasses. I started having vision problems and received my first pair of glasses in the fourth grade, but my husband has perfect vision. Who knows?

Also on Monday, the speech therapist is finally coming out to evaluate the babies. Adalynn is doing ok trying to pronounce a few words and she is always jabbering away, but the boys have only said Mama and Dada. They are almost 21 months. Everyone says i should be thankful that they are not
talking yet, but i'm ready for them to tell me what they want. Guessing is getting old fast!

my children are monkeys

My babies are climbing everywhere, and i mean everywhere! They are getting into everything as well.  I seriously think they are actually escaped animals from the zoo.

happy valentines day

Happy Valentines Day to my sweet babies! No chocolate this year, but I'm sure u will be swimming in the wonderful messiness next go round!

Adalynn

Last week after the kids finally started feeling better we spent a few days out at my parents house. Too bad the weather was rainy and cold-so no time spent outdoors.

My husband and i almost had to make the decision to move four hours away this past weekend. It would have been a huge opportunity for Aaron, but it stressed me beyond belief and scared me too. Thankfully another manager decided to take the offer and we didn't have to make that life altering decision. I really love the area that i live in and i really think we can find our dream home around here someday.

Bought my husband his Valentines gift today. Got him luggage. lol. More specifically a garment bag on wheels that he can keep his suits in while traveling for work. Hope he doesn't get the wrong idea. The babies got him a custom Valentines Day card with their picture on it and they are making him his favorite cookies-white chocolate macadamia nut. Aaron's always a good gift buyer so I'm sure I'll be getting something great! But as much as i love chocolate-he better not buy it this year! I'm currently finally trying to get the weight off i gained from my fertility treatments and pregnancy. I started weight watchers after Christmas and have currently lost 19 pounds. Not only is losing the weight amazing, but i am also treating myself to a Brighton charm for my charm bracelet for every 10 pounds lost. I am hoping to add a new charm by my next weigh day. My goal is another 40 pounds to lose and that will be one awesome bracelet by then!
Have a great Valentines Day everyone!

long time no speak

So i have been lazy. And i will pull out my excuses now as to why i haven't written in so long. Adalynn had another seizure this week. That makes three that i know about. Turns out she had a nasty ear infection, so we are currently treating that. Lets just say i haven't been sleeping that great the last three weeks. When my kids are sick, they do not sleep through the night-thus mommy doesn't sleep through the night. Landon was the one who originally became sick with coughing, running nose, fever. He passed that on to Adalynn, who then passed it to Marek. Obviously being viral, i didn't take the kiddos to the doctor. We treated at home with humidifier, pulling snot, and fever reducing medicine. Apparently its been going around. Its somewhat ironic because as one child was starting to feel better the next one would get sick. As Marek was finally feeling better and i was about to start my happy dance knowing i was finally going to get some sleep, I was shocked when Adalynn started running fever again. Damn! double Damn! Immediately after her seizure i called her pediatrician. Addy always has an underlying infection whenever she has a seizure. My poor baby. Doesn't seem fair that she always gets the bad stuff.

In other news, I took the kids to get their 20 month photos taken. Since their 18 month fell around the holidays, I only took Christmas photos. I can no longer take them by myself. They are running everywhere, so another pair of hands are essential. I have pretty much decided that i need two hands to go to the park as well. I cant keep them corralled together anymore. So now its panic mode that someone is going to swipe them as soon as they are out of my sight. Is that just a multiples thing, or does every Mom think that?
So with the prolonged household sickness and few rainy days we have pretty much been on house arrest for about a month. So ready for warm spring days and germ free babies!!
