ONE YEAR CHECK-UP

Well we made it through our first year. Some days were hell, I'm not gonna lie, but we are happy that the kids are healthy and growing at a good rate for their prematurity. Here are their stats:
Adalynn- 18 lbs. 8 oz. 28" long
Landon- 19 lbs. 14 oz. 27.5" long
Marek- 20 lbs 29.5" long
So the doctor said everyone is looking pretty good other than Adalynn's ears. She had tubes put in her ears this past Wednesday, so hopefully this will allow her to pass a hearing test in that left ear as well as keep the ear infections down. We have also been given the go ahead and feed the kids table food and vitamin D whole milk. I am actually kind of clueless as to what to feed them, so i cheated and bought some of the premade dinners for toddlers and starting off slow with soft vegetables and fruits. Hopefully the transition wont be too crazy and the triplets will be getting enough to eat. The pediatrician also said to start brushing their teeth. Dear lord one more thing to keep up with. I can barely remember to brush my own teeth, and don't even get me started about how I never floss. I don't even have tooth paste for them yet. poor kids-good thing the baby teeth aren't permanent or I would disfigure them for life. I'll leave the teeth for their Dad who keeps a much healthier teeth regimen.

PICTURE CATCH-UP

Addy getting her helmet. Obviously she doesn't like it very much, but she will be thanking me when she is an international super model one day. "thanks mom for fixing my lop-sided head. I owe all my success to you." or something similar to that I'm sure
Landon standing. He went from crawling to pulling up to standing in a very short time. He is now starting to travel while standing. And when he wins the Olympic gold medal for long distance running.....lol u get the idea

My two helmet twins Landon and Adalynn

Sweet smiling Marek. He is getting up on his knees and wiggling so hopefully he will be crawling soon.

Pretty, sweet Addy

CATCH UP

I am so sorry that I havent posted in so long. It has been a crazy few weeks. The last time I posted the triplets were in the thros of an ear infection. So much has happend since. Adalynn now has a helmet just like Landon. She seems to be adjusting fine. The first couple of days she pulled on it, but now she doesnt seem to notice. She also had her follow-up neuro consult, and all her restrictions have been lifted. Her incision site looks fabulous and she has never showed any adverse affects from her spinal surgery.
Landon is still wearing his helmet too, but we are hoping that he is getting toward the end of his adjustment period. Landon is now crawling all over the house. And he is crazy fast. This week he crawled all the way into the bathroom while I was giving Adalynn a bath. I have gotten to where I will call him like a puppy. Its so cute watching him follow u around. In addition to the crawling, he has also started pulling himself up. Its only a matter of time before he starts walking I swear. Gonna drive me insane, I can feel it.
Marek is saying MaMa pretty often, and so far he is the only one. I also saw him clapping once. He isnt crawling yet, but he is getting up on his knees and moving backwards.
There birthday is approaching fast, and I cant wait!
